2 Weeks Away!

A lot happened last week and if you blinked you might have missed it! However, I want to give a special thanks to 2 Encore Award winners representing all the staff at SCJ! Kate Jensen - She wears many hats around our building: lunch supervisor, CST co-lead, New Teacher Mentor and professional listener...yet she finds time to also be a Title Teacher. Kate has demonstrated excellence in seeing her students grow exponentially in reading over the 2 year span I have known her. The confidence she embeds in her students through reading will help mold the future success of our SCJ students for years to come. Wendy Piehler - She is the mother of all skills! She is the student whisperer when a child is dysregulated, Co-Leads our CST team, supervises the lunchroom, helps interview for new staff, helped kick start our Girls On The Run Club, mentors 1st year staff AND is also a full time Title Teacher. In the 2 years I have worked with her, her students have achieved great gains in reading. The literacy skills she is growing within our youngest learners provides them a foundation for continued academic success. Recognizing 2 more amazing Educators from SCJ! We are super thankful for the care, passion and continued love you show our students each and every day! Ms. Alyssa, 4K Teacher- Ms. Alyssa shows up every day matching the love and energy of all our 4k students! She has the "it" factor when it comes to playful purpose in education, balancing play and learning so her students have a joyful 1st experience! We are so thankful for Ms. Alyssa and the works she does to build a strong foundation for our littles! Mrs. Fischer, 5th Grade Teacher- She has grown tremendously this year giving our 5th graders the solid learning experience they need before they enter the middle school journey! She has been reflective and persistence in her continued growth to reach and teach all of her students! She has helped start up Girls on the Run at SCJ, establishing an opportunity for our young ladies to build self confidence and growth through exercise and running! Special Staff Shout-out to 2 amazing SCJ educators! Mrs. Offerdahl, 5K Teacher- She works tremendously hard to reach and teach her students! She exudes so much time and energy to make sure all her students are growing...academically and socially! Ms. DeeDee, Special Ed Assistant- She joined our team mid way through the year and has been a tremendous pick up! Her love and connection to all her students is contagious! We want to recognize 2 amazing educators at SCJ! Ms. Jan is our secretary and Mr. Cluka is on our Special Ed Teaching team! Ms. Jan, Secretary- Enough said, right! She could earn this award every day! From doing sub system, to answering calls, to helping cover recess duties...she literally does it all! She is the glue that keeps it all together! We are incredibly thankful to have Kan on our SCJ Team! Mr. Cluka, Special Ed Teacher - Mr. Cluka has been with us for the past 2 years! He has grown tremendously to support our staff and students! He is always seeking leadership advice and feedback and holds his own when it comes to keeping tabs on his students' behaviors and achievement! We got thru the crazy storms so it is time for special shout-outs to Ms. Rheanna and Ms. Ledesma! Ms. Rheanna, Literacy Educational Assistant - Her primary job is to work with our students on growing and teaching their reading goals! However, she does so much more than just that! She helps any all students in their daily journey! She helps in multiple classes, lunchroom and after school! She is always willing to help wherever needed! Students and staff alike appreciate her being on our team! Ms. Ledesma, 4k Dual Language Assistant - She is such a caring and trusted person for our youngest learners! She always brings a smile and a positive attitude every day! She works in tandem with her team to make sure every student in her class feels safe, loved and eager to learn! She has been such a rock for our very important 4k DL program! Happy Friday! Yes, our kiddos are out on Spring Break...but we still have staff to celebrate! Huge shoutout to Ms. Kempf and Ms. Maria! Ms. Kempf, 1st Grace Dual Language Teacher - She has been a tremendous addition to our team this year! She came in with strong classroom management, resilient lessons and a determination to reach and teach each of her students! She is a team player and enjoys celebrating her students successes! Thank you Ms. Kempf for join our SCJ Family! Ms. Maria, Special Education Assistant- Ms. Maria has been a staple in our 2nd grade but has stepped in at 1st grade to help our SCJ staff and students! She brings a wealth and experience and knowledge and willingness to jump in and help where needed the most! Monday Morning Motivation! Thank you to these 2 amazing educators! Mrs. Schutte, Kindergarten - She has been such a solid, motivating, caring addition to our Kindergarten team and school! She brings passion, acceptance, and a wealth of educational wisdom to reach and teach our youngest of learners! SCJ is better because of the foundation of learning she has set for our students! Mrs. Walthers, 2nd Grade - She has been a rock in our building for quite some time! Her continued work to reach all her students to grow in their reading has been amazing! She has created a family of learners that support each other, care for each other and challenge each other to be better each day!
