Introducing the Mitchell Buddy Benches! 🛋💚

Thank you to Scherrer Cares for these beautiful benches through their Buddy Bench Program, an anti-bullying effort that aims to foster kindness and nurture friendships across Wisconsin schools.

Check out our staff and students enjoying them and see if you can find them next time you're here! 🐲

A bench resembling surfboards against a cement wall. It's green with white text that reads "Scherrer Cars Buddy Bench Mitchell School" on both the back rest and the seat. Beside the text is the Mitchell KnightDragon logo. It's in the shape of a shield with a dragon inside.
Four people sit on the Buddy Bench. From left to right, a woman, a boy, and two more women.
Two middle school boys in student ambassador uniforms and blue Academy lanyards sit on the bench.
A middle school girl and a woman sit on the bench.
Two young boys sit on the bench. The boy on the left holds up a peace sign and an open mouthed smile. The boy on the right is smiling.
One elementary school girl sits on the bench with four classmates and a staff member standing behind it the buddy bench.
A fourth grader sits on the bench with legs outstretched in front of her and two peace signs.

Thank you to the University of Wisconsin–Madison Ambassadors for speaking with our 7th graders about college, careers, and the value of education!

Students explored and challenged common college myths, asked thoughtful questions, and made connections between their strengths, interests, and future career paths. Experiences like this help our students start envisioning what’s possible for their future. 🎓

Good Evening Families!
We have two different safety drills happening at Mitchell this week. Thursday at 1:45pm we are having the statewide tornado drill. Friday at 9:30am we will be conducting an ALICE drill. Both drills may impact phones and will impact entry to our building during those times.

Please know these drills are important practice to ensure we are all familiar with the procedures to keep everyone safe in the event of an unfortunate situation. Please talk with your students about the importance of participating in the drills with respect, patience, and taking them seriously. Thank you all for your understanding.
