Today our STEM class traded the classroom for the garage and rolled over to AoR Park’s automotive lab! 🚗🔧

The girls got their hands dirty learning real-world skills like rotating tires and changing oil, proving they can handle more than just homework. Future engineers, mechanics, and innovators in the making! 💪✨

This week, hundreds of students at Mitchell, Olympia Brown, Gifford, Schulte and Jerstad-Agerholm celebrated the completion of Everfi's Financial Literacy courses with Educators Credit Union!

Students showed off their financial knowledge with a series of games that highlighted their ability to make smart money decisions. To make things better, 82% of these students completed BOTH Everfi courses. 🎉

Today, our 6th grade students celebrated the completion of their financial literacy unit with fun hands-on activities and ice cream! Students learned that financial literacy is not about being rich, it’s about being responsible, prepared, and confident in the choices they make.

A huge thank you to EverFi and Educators Credit Union for supporting our students and helping make this end-of-the-year celebration possible. We also appreciate our volunteers who helped make today’s event such a success!

As reading scores in Wisconsin continue to decline, we have made noticeable gains at Racine Unified!

A renewed focus on early literacy has put our change in Reading Achievement on an upward trajectory for 3rd-8th-grade students since 2023. During that same time, the average of similar districts has fallen and leveled off.

Hello Mitchell Community Families,

Summer will be here before you know it, and NOW is the time to get your kids registered for Summer School! Summer School will run from Tuesday, June 24, to Thursday, July 30 this year. We welcome and encourage all students to attend summer school. It is both a fun and educational experience for everyone. It can improve students’ math and reading skills, expand their problem-solving abilities, reduce summer learning loss, and boost communication, leadership, and social skills. The best part about it? It’s free!

The registration process is simple and can be done through your Parent Portal in Infinite Campus. The deadline to register is May 15. More information on summer school is available online. If you have any questions regarding Summer School Registration, please email summer.school@rusd.org.
