Our 4th–6th grade students took part in an exciting hands-on experience with The Hour of AI! 🎉💻

Students solved breakout-style challenges to unlock clues before coding a micro:bit. Along the way, they explored what AI is, how it can help, what information is safe to share, and how to evaluate AI-generated data.

This experience was made possible by a generous grant from Microsoft. We’re grateful for their support and for our amazing RUSD staff who helped make it a success!

8th grade boys had the opportunity to sit down with mentors from our community and hear firsthand about their careers, life journeys, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. These meaningful conversations sparked curiosity, inspired big dreams, and showed our students what’s possible with hard work and perseverance.

Today is Internet Safety Day. Child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) is a horrific crime that targets some of the most vulnerable people in our communities — children and teens. Resources for education, prevention and intervention of CSEA can be found at https://www.dhs.gov/know2protect

If you know of an incident, you can report it at the bottom of any Know2Protect webpage, by calling 988 for crisis support or 911 for an emergency.

The attached list provides ten steps you can take to prevent CSEA and create a safe digital experience for your child.
