⏰ Early Pickups: Important Procedures
To keep students safe and minimize end-of-day disruptions:
If you need to check out your student after 2:50 PM, please call the school before 2:50 PM so your student can be ready in the Front Office.
Arrivals after 3:00 PM will need to wait until regular dismissal.
From 2:50–3:35 PM, students are transitioning:
PYP students are in end-of-day specialist classes
MYP students are finishing essential instruction and preparing for dismissal
Early pickups during this time are highly disruptive and should be limited to emergencies only, especially for MYP students.
📅 Attendance Matters — Every Minute Counts
Improving attendance is a key goal in our School Improvement Plan. Being in school every day helps students learn, grow, and stay connected.
Many absences occur at the beginning and end of the day due to late arrivals and early checkouts.
These missed minutes add up and can impact learning.
Please note: late arrivals and early checkouts count toward the 10 allowable parent-excused absences for the year.
Whenever possible, schedule appointments and personal commitments on non-school days.

🏐 Boys Volleyball – Please wear your jersey to school on Friday.

🌍 Our 5th graders are starting their PYP Exhibition with the theme Sharing the Planet, exploring how humans and nature are interconnected. We’d love your support! As part of the MYP’s focus on developing caring, internationally minded learners, our 7th-grade students in Ms. Robbins’ Culinary classes completed a full inquiry cycle to explore one key question: What meal can we prepare—on our own—that will make a meaningful impact in our community?
Their answer? A delicious homemade “thank you” to the firefighters and paramedics who support us every day. 🚒❤️
Students planned their ingredients, calculated quantities, assigned cooking roles, and brought their recipes to life. They prepared spaghetti and meatballs, chicken alfredo with broccoli, and bacon mac and cheese—all delivered to Fire Stations 4 and 5.
We are so proud of their teamwork, organization, and commitment to service. Amazing job, chefs! 🍝👩🍳👨🍳
