Special Shoutout to 2 more amazing SCJ Staff members! Ms. Juanita and Mr. Henes! Ms. Juanita, Attendance Clerk- She does so much more than just attendance! She is usually the 1st person that visitors come in contact with, she answers parent calls and concerns, is the treat keeper at the end of the day for students that have formed a bond with her. This is a special one because she will be starting her next chapter: Retirement! Thank you Ms. Juanita for so many things you do for staff, students and families! Wishing you all the best! Mr. Henes, Phy Ed Teacher - Mr Henes is the epitome of a team player. Not only does he lead Phy Ed instruction every day, he also is the trusted adult for Check-in/Check-outs, takes extra classes on rotation days, takes extra classes on indoor recess day and is always flexible to the last minute assembly that cause his classes to move outside. 2 Weeks Away!

A lot happened last week and if you blinked you might have missed it! However, I want to give a special thanks to 2 Encore Award winners representing all the staff at SCJ! Kate Jensen - She wears many hats around our building: lunch supervisor, CST co-lead, New Teacher Mentor and professional listener...yet she finds time to also be a Title Teacher. Kate has demonstrated excellence in seeing her students grow exponentially in reading over the 2 year span I have known her. The confidence she embeds in her students through reading will help mold the future success of our SCJ students for years to come. Wendy Piehler - She is the mother of all skills! She is the student whisperer when a child is dysregulated, Co-Leads our CST team, supervises the lunchroom, helps interview for new staff, helped kick start our Girls On The Run Club, mentors 1st year staff AND is also a full time Title Teacher. In the 2 years I have worked with her, her students have achieved great gains in reading. The literacy skills she is growing within our youngest learners provides them a foundation for continued academic success. Recognizing 2 more amazing Educators from SCJ! We are super thankful for the care, passion and continued love you show our students each and every day! Ms. Alyssa, 4K Teacher- Ms. Alyssa shows up every day matching the love and energy of all our 4k students! She has the "it" factor when it comes to playful purpose in education, balancing play and learning so her students have a joyful 1st experience! We are so thankful for Ms. Alyssa and the works she does to build a strong foundation for our littles! Mrs. Fischer, 5th Grade Teacher- She has grown tremendously this year giving our 5th graders the solid learning experience they need before they enter the middle school journey! She has been reflective and persistence in her continued growth to reach and teach all of her students! She has helped start up Girls on the Run at SCJ, establishing an opportunity for our young ladies to build self confidence and growth through exercise and running! Special Staff Shout-out to 2 amazing SCJ educators! Mrs. Offerdahl, 5K Teacher- She works tremendously hard to reach and teach her students! She exudes so much time and energy to make sure all her students are growing...academically and socially! She is committed to reflecting and always seeking ways to improve to be the best for all her students and families! Thank you Ms. Offerdahl for all you do! Ms. DeeDee, Special Ed Assistant- She joined our team mid way through the year and has been a tremendous pick up! Her love and connection to all her students is contagious! She brings her light to our youngest learners each day to support and challenge them to reach their goals! She has such. Huge personality and an even bigger heart! We want to recognize 2 amazing educators at SCJ! Ms. Jan is our secretary and Mr. Cluka is on our Special Ed Teaching team! Ms. Jan, Secretary- Enough said, right! She could earn this award every day! From doing sub system, to answering calls, to helping cover recess duties...she literally does it all! She is the glue that keeps it all together! We are incredibly thankful to have Kan on our SCJ Team! Mr. Cluka, Special Ed Teacher - Mr. Cluka has been with us for the past 2 years! He has grown tremendously to support our staff and students! He is always seeking leadership advice and feedback and holds his own when it comes to keeping tabs on his students' behaviors and achievement!
