Our 1st graders spent time today giving back to our school community by helping clean up the playground! 🌎🧹 Students worked together to take pride in keeping our outdoor spaces beautiful and safe for everyone.
They also wrapped up their butterfly unit by learning more about the butterfly life cycle before releasing their butterflies into nature. 🦋 What a wonderful way to connect learning, teamwork, and caring for our environment!

A huge thank you to Brian Niznansky from WTMJ for visiting our Kindergarten students today! 🌦️⛅️🌪️
Our students had an amazing time learning all about weather, forecasting, and what it’s like to be a meteorologist. Brian made learning fun, engaging, and interactive, and our Kindergarteners loved asking questions and sharing their weather knowledge!
We truly appreciate the time you spent inspiring our young learners and helping bring science to life in such a meaningful way. Thank you for supporting our students and school community! ☀️🌈❄️

An amazing opportunity!!

As reading scores in Wisconsin continue to decline, we have made noticeable gains at Racine Unified!
A renewed focus on early literacy has put our change in Reading Achievement on an upward trajectory for 3rd-8th-grade students since 2023. During that same time, the average of similar districts has fallen and leveled off.
