On Wednesday, we had the honor of celebrating our 5th grade students as they were promoted to middle school! This milestone marks an exciting transition for both our students and their families as they take the next step in their journey here at JA.

While our elementary teachers will certainly miss these amazing students, we’re lucky they’ll only be a hallway away! We are so proud of all our Jaguars and can’t wait to welcome you back as middle schoolers in the fall. 🖤💛 #JAALLDAY

Students in Mrs. Conner’s art classes were challenged to bring their creativity to life by designing their own custom Funko Pop-style characters! Starting with a 3D-printed base figure, students used Model Magic clay and acrylic paint to transform their ideas into unique works of art—whether inspired by themselves, a favorite character, or something entirely original.

We are so proud of the hard work, imagination, and creativity our students demonstrated throughout this project. Amazing job, Jaguars! 🖤💛 #JAALLDAY

Our 7th and 8th grade students in Mrs. Neimeyer’s classes recently had the opportunity to participate in the American Red Cross Babysitting Training! Throughout the course, students learned valuable skills including how to care for children, ensure child safety, and respond to emergencies with CPR and First Aid.

Students who successfully completed the training earned their official babysitting certification—what an amazing accomplishment! We are so proud of our Jaguars for building life skills and taking on new responsibilities. Keep making us proud!

Recently, students in Mrs. Neimeyer’s culinary classes participated in our Second Semester “Cupcake Wars!” 🧁

Students formed their own groups, selected a theme, and created poster boards to showcase their ideas. Using a basic vanilla cupcake and buttercream recipe, they were challenged to put their own unique twist on the project by developing a custom flavor in either the cake or the frosting.

Each group decorated their cupcakes to match their theme, with two days dedicated to trial runs and two days for final creations. The experience concluded with presentations to a panel of judges made up of staff, student ambassadors, ASC staff, and community partners.

Students were evaluated on:
• Flavor
• Cake Execution
• Presentation
• Theme Tie-In
• Delivery and Explanation

Judges selected an overall favorite from each class, and the winning group will be treated to lunch from Mrs. Neimeyer! 🍕🎉

Once again, our Jaguars continue to make us proud by demonstrating hard work, creativity, and dedication. #JAALLDAY 🖤💛

Students in Ms. Bilotta's and Mr. Tristano's WIN classes recently completed a Mini Golf Design Challenge. Working in teams, they designed and built their own mini golf holes while applying math skills such as measurement, perimeter, area, angles, and problem-solving. They also explored science concepts including force, motion, energy, and friction as they tested and improved their designs.
After weeks of planning, building, and revising, students had the opportunity to play the completed course and see their learning come to life. To celebrate their hard work, students also enjoyed a trip to a local mini golf course where they could connect what they learned in the classroom to the real world.
We are proud of the creativity, collaboration, perseverance, and critical thinking our students demonstrated throughout this project.

This year in 4K was filled with fun projects, lots of learning, and plenty of laughter. While their teachers are sad to see them move on, we are so excited to watch them grow and see all they accomplish in the future. We’re grateful that JA could be part of the start of their educational journey! #JAALLDAY 🖤💛

This week, hundreds of students at Mitchell, Olympia Brown, Gifford, Schulte and Jerstad-Agerholm celebrated the completion of Everfi's Financial Literacy courses with Educators Credit Union!

Students showed off their financial knowledge with a series of games that highlighted their ability to make smart money decisions. To make things better, 82% of these students completed BOTH Everfi courses. 🎉

THANK YOU to Everfi, Educators Credit Union and the volunteers who made this program possible for our students. #YouBelongHere

With the support of EverFi and Educators Credit Union we were able to celebrate the completion of the 6th grade Financial Literacy program. We invited all of Mr. Tristano's 6th grade Seminar students to participate in a Financial Literacy Field Day, where they were able to apply their newly acquired knowledge in fun games based on everyday scenarios. With the ultimate goal of reminding the students that it's not just about how much money you make in the future, it's about how well you manage what you have.
