GEAR UP provides students with one-on-one mentoring and advising, workshops on college readiness, and travel opportunities including college tours, summer camps, and trips across the nation. These services and travel opportunities are always FREE for GEAR UP students and their Families. Students who may be eligible to join GEAR UP include those who are from groups underrepresented in higher education, first-generation students (neither parent/ guardian completed a four-year college degree), students who are eligible for free or reduced school meals, students with disabilities, and those who are English Language Learners.
