Today, our TEC Academy students had an incredible opportunity to step out of the classroom and into the field during an externship job shadow with the Operating Engineers Local 139 at their newly expanded Coloma Training Center!
Students explored the state-of-the-art facility while connecting directly with industry professionals and discovering what it takes to pursue a high-demand career as an Operating Engineer.
💡 Highlights from the day included:
• A full tour of the training center
• Learning about apprenticeship and youth apprenticeship pathways
• A contractor panel and showcase
• Hands-on experiences with simulators and mini-excavators
This is what career-connected learning is all about, giving students real exposure, real skills, and real opportunities for their future.

Yesterday was an incredible day at Case as we celebrated our seniors and the culmination of their hard work through their Capstone Presentations!
Our students showcased months of learning, problem-solving, and real-world application across all pathways. From innovative business ideas and engineering solutions to health research and community-focused projects, it was clear that our students are truly ready for what’s next.
A huge thank you to our staff, partners, and volunteers who supported, mentored, and evaluated our students throughout this process. Your feedback and guidance make these experiences meaningful and impactful.

Our Marketing Pathway students are taking their skills beyond the classroom and into the community this semester! Students partnered with Racine Video - Matt and Jason - to complete an exciting capstone project creating promotional videos for four local businesses.
From storyboarding and filming to editing and client collaboration, students are experiencing every step of the creative process while building real marketing assets for local companies.

Students explored the Gross Anatomy Cadaver Lab, where Marquette undergraduates perform full-body dissections, bringing science to life in a powerful and unforgettable way.
They also dove into real-world topics with expert faculty:
🦠 Outbreaks & Public Health with Dr. Klockow, learning how diseases spread, how investigators track outbreaks, and how tools like contact tracing and vaccines help stop transmission.
🧠 Neuroscience with Dr. SuJean Choi, exploring brain structure, sensory systems, neurological diseases, and cutting-edge research.
Experiences like this connect classroom learning to real careers and give our students a glimpse into the future of healthcare and biomedical science.








Our 2nd Annual Youth Apprenticeship Hiring Fair was a huge success! With hundreds of students pursuing 60+ job opportunities, it was incredible to see our community come together to support student success.
From resume building and interview prep to elevator pitches and event logistics, this was truly a team effort. A huge thank you to our staff for preparing students so well.
We’re also incredibly grateful to our employer partners for investing in our students and their futures.
We’re excited to build on this momentum and continue expanding opportunities. The future is bright! 💼✨










FICB is a hands-on financial literacy program aligned to Wisconsin and national standards, where students put their knowledge to the test in a live, college-bowl style competition.

Are you a student that has an interest in science or weather? Then this training is for you!! Come join us as we partner with the National Weather Service to train students to be CERTIFIED weather spotters!
Wisconsin weather spotter training (SKYWARN) a free, annual National Weather Service (NWS) program training volunteers to identify and report severe weather, filling in blind spots in radar technology. Sessions teach thunderstorm structure, safety, and reporting criteria for tornadoes, hail, and wind. These reports help meteorologist issue accurate, faster warnings.
*Becoming a certified weather spotter is a VOLUNTEER position. You only go out and spot weather as it fits your schedule.
*Students will receive volunteer hours for the training, and anytime they go out and spot weather. (Must email swebb@volunteerracine.org with hours spent weather spotting for credit.)

This month students in the Accounting Pathway participated in an exciting Accounting Career Awareness experience - made possible through the generous support of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants. (WI CPA)
Held at American Family Field in partnership with the Milwaukee Brewers, students got a behind-the-scenes look at how accounting plays a vital role in a professional sports organization. From budgeting and financial reporting to ticket sales and sponsorships, the Brewers’ Business Operations team shared real-world insights that brought classroom concepts to life. Students also had the chance to network and enjoy the game - making this both an educational and memorable experience!
