Tonight, the RUSD Board of Education approved placing a referendum on the April 1 ballot. The proposed 5-year, $190 million non-recurring referendum would: - Prevent cutting programs like the Academies of Racine and protect smaller class sizes - Attract and retain excellent teachers and staff who are essential for delivering high-quality education - Invest in the safety and security of our schools This referendum is needed because for more than a decade state funding has fallen short, and more and more districts are forced to pass referendums to balance budgets. Greetings Excited that Thanksgiving is right around the corner? We have some news for this week! Be sure to check our calendar because we are going to be closed from Nov 27-29 for the holiday. December 1st (Sunday), feel free to come to the aquatic center for a swim assessment. For these assessments, you do not need an appointment, and all you need to do is arrive with a swim suit and a towel and expect to get assessed by one of our swim instructors.
