Jaxson Moss on the basketball court

Jaxson Moss was in danger of slipping into oblivion as a freshman at Park High School during the fall of 2021.

He stood just 6-foot tall. He admits he was flunking several classes. As a basketball player, he was nothing special and certainly would have done little to help a Park team that was 4-21 that season.

Still, as Park senior guard Isaiah Robinson says now, there was just something about Moss that suggested a dramatic reclamation project could be on the horizon for him.

“We knew the potential he had,” Robinson said. “He just had to show it on the court and wait for his time to come.”

That time has arrived. Moss now stands 6-6 and is an agile big man who can defend all five positions on the floor. He leads Park in scoring (20.8) and rebounds (10.5), is second in steals (3.5) and third in assists (2.1).
