In alignment with the Academies of Racine Horlick’s vision of graduating all students career, life, and/or college-ready, we are offering Sophomores the opportunity to participate in a mock interview with a career professional. We will host these sessions this week on Wednesday, March 25th, and Thursday, March 26th, at the Academies of Racine Horlick. We are in need of more volunteers to serve as interview and conversation coaches. These sessions help students practice their speaking and interviewing skills—many for the first time—and gain confidence in one-on-one professional conversations. Your guidance will be invaluable in preparing them for future opportunities. Your Role: You will conduct brief, structured interviews (approximately 10 minutes each) using a set of predetermined questions, followed by a brief coaching session (5 minutes) to offer constructive feedback and advice. We will provide questions and a brief rubric for you to use on the day of the interviews. Event Details: Dates: Wednesday, March 25th & Thursday, March 26th Times: Multiple Sessions to choose from (starting at 7:45 am and ending by 2:45 pm) Location: Academies of Racine Horlick (Library) Volunteer Briefing: We will conduct a short pre-interview briefing to review expectations, go over the interview rubric, and provide some guidance in offering constructive feedback. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early for your session. Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided. There may be some downtime between sessions, so feel free to bring a laptop or reading materials. Please consider signing up to help interview students, answer questions, and make a meaningful impact on our students’ professional growth.
