We not only got a new, user-friendly website over the summer (click here to check it out!), we also got a new app! Search 'racine unified' in the app or play store, download the app and personalize it to the school your children attend so you don't miss a thing.
Reporting Absences:
Daily attendance is important for all students, from the first day a student attends 4K to graduation day, but we understand that on occasion a child may need to miss a day of school. On those days, please be sure to report your child's absence. In addition to calling a school's attendance line, you can now report absences through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Instructions are below.
We're counting on your child to be in school Friday, Sept. 20. This is one of the most important school days of the year because it's the day the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction counts all students to determine how much funding your child's school will receive to provide a quality education. Help your school get critical funds to positively impact your child's future by making sure your child is in their classroom and on time this Friday, Sept. 20.

Some great news to start the school year with! All 11 RUSD high school academies are now nationally certified by the National Career Academy Coalition!
We're not stopping there... our goal is to have all academies earn the 'Model of Distinction' certification, the highest possible grade. Two academies have already accomplished this feat, nine more to go! #YouBelongHere

Horlick hosts the prestigious Rebel Invitational tomorrow at UW-Parkside’s nationally renown cross-country course. Be there at 10:30am for the varsity races and watch the Rebels run! (Admission $5)

Tonight our Rebel Football team takes on Park High School for the 100th time. There is a lot of hype around the game. Tickets are available through the link your teacher has or on Facebook. You must sit in the east bleachers which is Horlick’s side for this game. You must also obey all staff directions. The theme is a BLACKOUT for Horlick. If you have any questions about tickets please see Mr. King.
A message about Bus Passes
Students will have until the end of the day on Tuesday September 10th to pick up their City of Racine passes from their school. Beginning Wednesday September 11th, students MUST have their pass to board the bus or will be denied ridership.

Girls Volleyball is getting in the swing of things. Today is their first match of the season against Park at Park High school. JV starts at 4:30 and Varsity starts at 6:30pm. Be there to cheer on your Rebel Girls.
