Mrs. Oliver’s kindergarten class has been working so hard during their literacy and math centers! ✏️📚🔢 Students have been practicing letter sounds, building words, counting, and solving fun math challenges with their classmates. It’s so fun to see them learning, working together, and growing more confident each day. We are so proud of all the focus and effort these little learners are showing. Way to go, Mrs. Oliver’s class! 🌟🦅

Each grade (K4–5th) will have its own bucket to collect money.
• 🪙 Every penny = 1 point
• 💵 Every dollar = 100 points

BUT WATCH OUT! 👀
Students can drop silver coins into other grades’ buckets to subtract points:
• Nickels = -5 points
• Dimes = -10 points
• Quarters = -25 points

During Black History Month, our artists are having fun painting colorful zinnia flowers inspired by Clementine Hunter 🎨🌼 The art room is full of bright colors, big smiles, and lots of creativity! Students are learning about Hunter’s artwork while making their own flower masterpieces. We think they turned out pretty AMAZING 🌸✨

✨ Math in Action in Kindergarten! ✨ Students in Mrs. Johnson’s kindergarten class practiced building the numbers 11, 12, and 13 using double ten frames and cubes! 🔢🧩 After creating their numbers, students shared with the class what number they made and explained how they built it. For example: 1 group of ten and 1 extra cube makes 11! 👏 Hands-on learning like this helps our kindergarteners strengthen number sense, build confidence, and practice explaining their math thinking.
