💙 All Pro Dads Breakfast at the BEE Center 💙

This morning was full of smiles, connection, and full plates as our students shared a special breakfast with the important men in their lives. Each child went home with a brand-new book and a stuffed friend—because literacy and comfort go hand in hand.

Events like All Pro Dads remind us just how powerful father figures are. Their presence, encouragement, and love play a critical role in children’s confidence, growth, and sense of belonging. When fathers show up, children feel seen, valued, and supported.

Thank you to all the dads, grandpas, uncles, and father figures who joined us today. You matter more than you know—and it shows. 💫

Nothing says “You Belong Here” quite like seeing yourself on the morning meeting slide 💚

This week’s Letter of the Week: J was extra special because it featured our students. When children see their own names, faces, and experiences reflected in learning, engagement skyrockets.

✨ Research (and experience!) tells us that children typically learn the letters in their own name first. By anchoring letter learning to who they are, we’re building confidence, connection, and early literacy skills—all at once.

Belonging isn’t a bonus. It’s the foundation. 📚💫

When little hands come together, big learning happens 💛

In this moment, our learners are building more than a tower—they’re building social-emotional skills. Working together means taking turns, listening to each other’s ideas, problem-solving when things get tricky, and celebrating success as a team.

These collaborative experiences help children practice communication, cooperation, patience, and empathy—skills that matter just as much as academics.

Strong towers. Strong friendships. Strong foundations for lifelong learning.

Storytime with a Very Special Audience

In K4, every reader matters—even the furry ones! 💕
Reading to stuffed animals builds confidence, language skills, and a love of books. With no pressure and lots of encouragement, our young learners practice turning pages, telling stories, and using their voices.

Today’s lesson: stuffed friends make the best listeners. 💫

Early numeracy is popping up everywhere in our classroom—especially during play and drawing! ✏️✨ In this moment, a child is representing numbers, quantity, and relationships through her own drawings. Whether it’s counting figures, noticing “how many,” or organizing ideas on paper, she’s building the foundation for number sense in a meaningful, joyful way. At this age, early math isn’t worksheets—it’s creativity, conversation, and making sense of the world one mark at a time. 🧠💡

Building Early Literacy - One Little Hand at a Time!

Our young learners have been busy strengthening the foundations of reading and writing! Through hands-on letter writing and exploration, children are practicing letter recognition, experimenting with forming letters, and building important fine motor skills.

Activities like tracing, drawing, cutting, and manipulating materials help develop the hand strength and coordination needed for future writing—while keeping learning joyful and developmentally appropriate. We love seeing students engage with letters in meaningful, playful ways as they grow into confident communicators!

Learning letters through all the senses!

Today our learners explored letter formation using hands-on sensory materials. By tracing letters with their fingers, children strengthen fine motor skills, build letter recognition, and make meaningful brain connections through touch and movement.

Sensory letter play turns learning into an experience, helping young children remember shapes and sounds while having fun. This is early literacy in action!

Reading with young children isn’t just about finishing the book—it’s about the conversation! Asking questions, making connections, and letting children tell part of the story supports language development and comprehension. Dialogic reading helps children become active readers from the very beginning!
