Washington Park High School senior Aphasia Morales is preparing to attend UW–Milwaukee after graduation, carrying with her the memory of her father, Anthony Morales, who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in 2022. Following his death, Morales relied on the support of her family, friends, and school community while learning to become more independent.

Known for her positive attitude and involvement in cheerleading, student government, and track and field, Morales says her father's memory motivates her to work hard and pursue her goals. She hopes to make him proud as she begins the next chapter of her life.
