We’re excited to share that our annual Youth Apprenticeship (YA) Hiring Fair is just around the corner and it’s a great opportunity for sophomores and juniors to meet local employers, participate in mini interviews and apply for job opportunities across a variety of career pathways. Why YA?
Students hired as Youth Apprentices for the 2026-27 school year will gain:
Real-world professional experience
Competitive hourly pay
Mentorship from industry professionals
State of WI Department of Workforce Development certificate
What students need to do:
Register using the YA Hiring Fair Student Registration 2026 form
Bring 5-10 copies of their resume
Come prepared to make a strong first impression (professional attire is encouraged, but not required)
The YA hiring event runs April 21 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Roma Lodge (7130 Spring St., Racine, WI 53406). Students attending during the school day will be provided transportation. Students attending after school should arrange their own transportation.
We hope your student will take advantage of this valuable opportunity to explore careers, build connections and even secure a paid position for next school year. These youth apprenticeships often lead to full-time employment upon graduation!
