On January 15th, RUSD's 8th grade girls got to visit the annual Girls Empowered by Math and Science (GEMS) conference, where they got to further their STEM knowledge.
From learning about chickens being used for solar power, to making their own ice cream and listening to speaking panels, these young ladies had quite a day of fun and hands on learning.
