Racine teacher, Kidia Burns has written her very own book "Girls Can Do It Too!" to inspire young ladies to enter the trades. A field where women make up less than 5% of trade workers in the country.
Inspired by her mother who also worked in trades, Burns was a CNC machinist for about 25 years and is currently a teacher at RUSD and working at Case High School.
Along with continuing to inspire and teach her students, she is furthering educating younger generations through her writing.
