We're celebrating the work of the seven Academies of Racine students who represented RUSD at the HOSA-Future Health Professionals International Leadership Conference (ILC) held in Nashville, TN!
To qualify for this competition, students needed to place in the top 3 at State. Although they did not receive a medal at ILC, these students gained a wealth of experience while attending.
Park junior, Ignacio Tellez, stated:
"Attending the HOSA ILC in was an eye-opening experience. I used to think HOSA was just a school club, but seeing students from all over the world come together showed me it's an international organization with real impact.
From competing in Sports Medicine, trading pins with other states and countries, to listening to a powerful keynote speaker and seeing a local country artist perform, I learned so much and made unforgettable memories.
This experience reinforces the importance of the Health Services Pathway in preparing future health professionals like myself to lead, connect, and grow into the medical field."
