On Thursday, Oct. 18, RUSD celebrated 105 Encore! Awards in Education winners. These RUSD staff members have demonstrated success in the classroom, fostered excellent academic achievement and consistently contribute to making their school or workplace a better place.
Beginning this fall, RUSD is implementing the use of ALiCE, an active shooter response training program, (i.e. alert, lockdown, inform, counter and evacuate) in all of our schools. Security experts across the country believe, as do we, that the use of these additional procedures will enhance student and staff safety.
RUSD is offering six one-day ACT Boot Camps open to all high school students who are taking the ACT. All students in grades 9-11 participate in the ACT Suite of exams.
All RUSD high school juniors will participate in the ACT practice test on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Because of this, there will be no school for students in grades 9, 10 and 12.
RUSD is celebrating the hard work of 57 high school students for achieving AP Scholar status in 2018, including two National AP Scholars!

If you are taking the ACT for the first time or are looking to improve your score, this class is for you! Students will learn prep strategies that will specifically assist students in learning the essential study skills needed to do well on the ACT.
The weekend of June 8, RUSD celebrated high school graduation with wonderful ceremonies on Case, Horlick, Park, Walden and The R.E.A.L. School.
