Virtual Learning eSports Program Update at RUSD Board Meeting May 21, 2018

On Monday, James O'Hagan gave the Board an update on RUSD's eSports Program. eSports are competitive video games that diverisfy opportunities for student participation in athletics.   O'Hagan sat alongside Zach Woods, a Walden III student who recently earned an eSports scholarship.

"This shows that it doesn't really matter who you are, major competitive events can be available to anyone. eSports allows many different forms of competitions for the brain, not just whoever can push someone out of the way fastest, but actually think themselves out of situations," Woods told the Board.
