On Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, the Mary Lou & Arthur F. Mahone Fund, in partnership with the Kenosha Unified School District and Racine Unified School District, will present the PowerUp College and Resource Fair at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 900 Wood Road.
On Thursday, Oct. 18, RUSD celebrated 105 Encore! Awards in Education winners. These RUSD staff members have demonstrated success in the classroom, fostered excellent academic achievement and consistently contribute to making their school or workplace a better place.
Beginning this fall, RUSD is implementing the use of ALiCE, an active shooter response training program, (i.e. alert, lockdown, inform, counter and evacuate) in all of our schools. Security experts across the country believe, as do we, that the use of these additional procedures will enhance student and staff safety.
RUSD is offering six one-day ACT Boot Camps open to all high school students who are taking the ACT. All students in grades 9-11 participate in the ACT Suite of exams.

All RUSD high school juniors will participate in the ACT practice test on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Because of this, there will be no school for students in grades 9, 10 and 12.
