Research states that the strongest bullying prevention effort is effective implementation of SEL (social emotional learning) programming and RUSD's SEL programming is second to none.  The district uses Character Strong as its universal SEL curriculum, which includes specific lessons on bullying and prevention, as well as exercises to help students to develop skills to manage their emotions, build relationships and make responsible decisions. As part of Character Strong, our staff are trained yearly on what to look for and how to report.
