Families at Knapp and Julian Thomas Community Elementary Schools participated in the nationwide Million Fathers March. The Million Fathers March is an opportunity to show commitment to the educational lives of children throughout the school year by escorting them to school on this day.
At Knapp, fathers/father figures walked their kids to school, got their photo taken and received a free book courtesy of the Racine Public Library.
At Julian Thomas, fathers/father figures all met at the King Cente rand walked their kids to school, together, from there. Refreshments were then served in the cafeteria & students also received a free book courtesy of the Racine Public Library.
