Magnet Elementary School Orientations


RUSD’s two magnet elementary schools, Red Apple and Jefferson Lighthouse, will hold orientations, open to all families interested in enrolling.

Please note, beginning fall 2018, Bull Fine Arts Elementary School will transition and expand to become a fine arts focused K-8 school called Gilmore Fine Arts. There will be several opportunities for families to learn more about Gilmore Fine Arts and how to apply at any grade level. Please watch for more information coming soon.

Red Apple Elementary School

Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 10-11 a.m.
Thursday, Nov. 16 from 5-6 p.m.

Red Apple is RUSD’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Allied Arts and Math) school where all instruction centers on those five components. Red Apple offers opportunities for students to use technology such as classroom computers, Chromebook and MacBook carts throughout the school. They even have a green screen area for classes to use for special projects. Red Apple has much to offer our students and is an exciting place to achieve our STEAM focus!

Jefferson Lighthouse Elementary School

Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 7 from 10-11 a.m.

Jefferson Lighthouse is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.  It was one of the first four schools authorized as an IB Primary Years Programme in Wisconsin. To learn more about the IB Programme, follow this link. 

Why Jefferson Lighthouse & IB?
