Walden Seniors Hold R.O.P.E. Ceremony

On Wednesday, May 24, seniors at Walden III High School took part in the R.O.P.E. ceremony.

Every senior at Walden III High School must go through the Rite of Passage Experience (R.O.P.E.) in order to graduate. R.O.P.E. is designed to evaluate student’s career and college readiness. The unique requirement measures competency in terms of actual mastery, not just by credits of standardized test scores in a limited number of areas.

This requirement is one factor that makes Walden different from other area high schools and most high schools in the United States.

During the ceremony, teachers spoke about the seniors and congratulated them on moving on to the next chapter in their academic lives.
