Since schools are closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, children who usually receive free or reduced-price school meals through the National School Lunch Program, or if they attend a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) School, may be eligible to receive temporary food benefits.
Beginning tomorrow (April 1), your child's teacher(s) will contact you by phone to learn how you would like your child to receive learning materials. We'll be able to provide materials electronically via email or in paper form via U.S. Mail.
Gov. Tony Evers announced that public schools are now closed indefinitely. Based on how the situation continues to evolve, the state is not certain that the original re-opening date of April 6 is realistic. RUSD is continuing to monitor the situation and will provide you updates as we learn new information.

RUSD has partnered with the City of Racine to sell monthly city bus passes to students in grades 6-12 that are not eligible for transportation (i.e. live under 2 miles from their school). Families are able to purchase monthly city bus passes for use during school days. Monthly passes will be available for purchase one week prior to the start of each month.
