During the 2016-2017 school year, RUSD introduced a new Montessori Program.  The program began with three- and four-year-olds and will continue to expand by one grade level each year. 

Montessori education emphasizes independence and respect for a child’s naturally developing cognitive, physical and social skills in multi-age classrooms.  Only students with previous Montessori experience are eligible for the program.  The Montessori Program is located in the early learning wing of Goodland Elementary School (4800 Graceland Blvd.). Transportation is provided for students who are four years old and older and live more than two miles from Goodland Elementary School.  Transportation is not provided for three-year-olds. 

Primary Years Program Information 

Three and four year olds attend from 7:20am until 10:30am, Monday through Friday. 

Five-year-olds attend for a full day from 7:20am-2:05pm, Monday through Friday.

Optonal Breakfast Program begins at 7:10am each day. 

Hot lunch is offered, for purchase, to full day students and those three- and four-year-old students who attend the wrap around care program.
