Walden III Middle and High School Students to Take Part in Make a Difference Day Friday, Oct. 16


More than 530 Walden III Middle and High School students will take part in Make a Difference Day on Friday, Oct. 16. As part of Make a Difference Day, students will be working with a number of local organizations with activities that will impact and make a difference in the community.

Students will be at the following locations from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

  • Racine Zoo Path
  • Eco-Justice
  • Caledonia Conservancy-Tabor Woods
  • Caledonia Conservancy-Fireside
  • Racine Skate/Meyer Beach
  • Racine Library
  • Riverbend Nature Center
  • HALO
  • Rec. Activities for the Develop Disabled (RADD)
  • Colonial Park
  • Mount Pleasant tree planting
  • Racine Lighthouse
  • Habitat for Humanity Restore
  • Holy Communion Church
  • Wustum Art Museum
  • Greeting cards for a local retirement home
  • Racine County Courthouse

National Make a Difference Day falls on Oct. 24.  Across the nation, volunteers will unite with a common mission – to improve the lives of others. Make a Difference Day is in its 24th year. It is the largest national day of community service.
