Walden III High School Recognized as one of the Best Schools in the Nation

Walden III High School has been nationally recognized as one of the best schools in the nation! Walden III is recognized in the National Rankings and earned a bronze medal by U.S. News & World Report. Schools are ranked based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college.

“We hold deep beliefs about our uncommon school,” Walden Principal Rob Kreil said. “Our primary purpose is to help young people become excited, effective, lifelong learners. We start that work in 6th grade and it’s wonderful to see us being recognized for our hard work.”

Named after Henry David Thoreau's classic, "Walden," the school encourages its students to hear the beat of a different drummer. The student body is expected to be a part of the decisions that affect them at school and demonstrate high levels of responsibility, self-direction, initiative and cooperation.
