Inaugural Ford STEM Community Challenge

RUSD's Community Walking Path project is one of ten programs selected to participate in the inaugural, innovative grant-making initiative: The Ford STEM Community Challenge: Building Sustainable Communities. This initiative is designed to empower students to design projects which use a STEM approach to catalyze sustainable solutions that address critical issues in their communities.

RUSD's and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare are teaming up to design, build and implement a comprehensive healthy living walking and activity Pathway around the Wheaton Franciscan campus. This sustainable STEM community-wide project will give back to the community, as well as give students some hand-on experience in the bio-medical, architecture and construction fields.
