Free ACT Prep Class to be Offered This Summer


If you are taking the ACT for the first time or looking to improve your score, the free ACT ½ credit prep course being offered this summer by Racine Unified School District is for you. The 12-day course will be held twice:

Monday-Thursday from June 22 – July 9  (#7752S 101)

Monday-Thursday from July 13 – July 30  (#7752S 102)

Choose one session to attend. The course runs from 8 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and will be held at Gilmore Middle School, 2330 Northwestern Ave. Beverages and snacks are allowed. Students who were sophomores and juniors during the 2014-2015 school year are eligible to attend.

Participants will be taught by experienced/certified teachers trained by Princeton Review and Wisconsin Test Prep to specifically assist them in learning the essential study skills needed to do well on the ACT test. They will be taught strategies and time management skills and gain the knowledge and the tools needed to excel on the exam. Participants will have the opportunity to practice by taking official ACT practice tests.

Space is limited. To register, students should sign up using the high school summer school enrollment form or see their guidance counselor. Students who do not currently attend an RUSD high school may call Patti Faus at Case High School at (262) 619-4200 or Kim Cichanofsky at Horlick High School at (262) 619-4300. When registering, please be sure to use course number.
