2015 Points of Pride!


As the year winds down to a close, we take a moment to reflect back on some of our greatest 2015 RUSD Points of Pride. Here are just a few of so many! 

  • Two RUSD high school seniors, Ben Schultz and Alyssa Ertl, were named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. 
  • Mitchell Middle School AfterZone's STEM students were crowned National Fluid Power Champions for the sixth time in the last seven years.
  • Case High School junior Tatum Thompkins earned a gold medal at the WIAA Div. 1 Swimming and Diving State Championship.
  • Horlick High School powerlifters, Kenny and Kimmy Johnson, earned second place at the World Powerlifting Championships in Prague this summer.
  • McKinley Middle School student Ellie Lutterman was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in NYC in June.
  • Six RUSD teachers have achieved National Board Certification, one of the highest levels of distinction in teaching.
  • Fifty RUSD students were named AP Scholars in 2015.
  • RUSD high school class of 2015 earned $4.5 million in scholarships.
  • Thirteen RUSD students earned prestigious Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
  • Case High School Theater won five state awards, including the Outstanding Directing award presented to Nancy Gibson
