Welcome to the new Gifford School!

On Wednesday, Aug. 31, Gifford School Principal Mary Cline grabbed a pair of giant golden scissors and cut the red ribbon officially opening the new Gifford School K-8 on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

“We couldn’t have done this without all of you,” Cline said to the hundreds of people standing along the sidewalk waiting to get inside the new school, many for the first time. “Not only are we opening a new school, but we are welcoming students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade – making Gifford a K-8 campus and giving this community another great choice for middle school!”

After the ribbon cutting, the community was invited to take self-guided tours of the new building. Hundreds of people walked the halls of the new building, peering in classrooms and talking with excited teachers.
