Case High School Student Becomes A National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist!


Case High School student Achintya Krishnan was named semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Krishnan scored among the nation's best on the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) taken during their junior year. He now has an opportunity to continue in the competition for roughly 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered next spring.

Krishnan had to have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by a high school official, write an essay and earn SAT scores that place him in the top 1% of U.S. high school seniors.

Three types of National Merit Scholarships will be offered in the spring of 2018. National Merit Scholarship winners of 2018 will be announced beginning in April and concluding in July.
