RUSD Recognized by UnitedHealthcare for Creating a Culture of Well-Being in the Workplace

UnitedHealthcare honored Racine Unified School District with a “Well Deserved” award for implementing a successful workplace well-being program that helps improve its employees’ health.

Racine Unified School District distinguished itself by creating an innovative well-being program that included fostering a culture of healthy body and a healthy mind to create an awareness and appreciation for healthy lifestyle choices.

“Wellness comes in all shapes and sizes.  We are transforming workplace wellness through health promotion and illness prevention.  As a result, health-related costs are trending lower than expected.  With an additional focus on physical, emotional, financial and community wellness, it has become a way of life for many employees and their families at the Racine Unified School District. Our future is in good health,” said Denise Schuppert, RUSD Benefits Coordinator.

It’s a pleasure to work with Racine Unified School District and see firsthand their commitment and support in helping their employees live healthy lives,” said Dustin Hinton, CEO, UnitedHealthcare of Wisconsin. “An increasing number of companies recognize that well-being programs enhance employee health, satisfaction, and productivity, and differentiate themselves as employers from other organizations.”

This is UnitedHealthcare’s 10th year honoring employers that have implemented innovative well-being programs to support their employees’ health goals. UnitedHealthcare works with an external broker review panel to review and judge all applicants.
