Horlick High School Cuts Ribbon on New Science Labs

Horlick High School Principal Angela Apmann, along with Superintendent Dr. Lolli Haws, Board of Education President Bob Wittke, Racine Mayor Cory Mason, County Executive Jonathan Delagrave and Kurt Coffey, Vice President of Parts & Service from CNHi, cut the red ribbon officially opening Horlick's new science wing on Monday, April 9.

Construction included a two-floor addition to the school with four new science classrooms inside, as well as renovations of existing science labs in the main building. An elevator also was installed in the addition that provides access to the main building’s third floor. Students began using the new and renovated labs in late January.

“These labs are beautiful, bright, inviting and are wonderful for collaborative learning in 21st century learning spaces,” said Dr. Haws.

CNHi donated $25,000 for new science equipment. During the ribbon cutting ceremony, President Bob Wittke and Dr. Haws thanked CNHi for their generous donation and commitment to RUSD and its students.
