Gilmore Fine Arts Music Program Leads the Way at National Festival

06/05/2019

The Gilmore Fine Arts music students had quite the impressive spring trip to New York City where they competed at the WorldStrides Festival.

Gilmore Fine Arts took home several awards including the Choral Sweepstakes Award. This means that both choirs were among the top 2 scoring choral groups, closest to 200 points. Aaron Lazarski earned the Ovation Award. This award is only given to one student per festival. All directors nominate one student from their programs and WorldStrides officials choose based on nomination letters. Gilmore Fine Arts also earned the Spirit Award. This award is given to the school that embodies the musicianship and citizenship that WorldStrides considers exemplary.
