On Thursday, Oct. 18, RUSD celebrated 105 Encore! Awards in Education winners. These RUSD staff members have demonstrated success in the classroom, fostered excellent academic achievement and consistently contribute to making their school or workplace a better place. 

RUSD to Offer Adult English as a Second Language Classes

Racine Unified Schools Department of Language Acquisition (Title III) and Gilmore Fine Arts are excited to provide classes for anyone interested in learning English. 

RUSD Implements New Active Shooter Response Program Called ALiCE

Beginning this fall, RUSD is implementing the use of ALiCE, an active shooter response training program, (i.e. alert, lockdown, inform, counter and evacuate) in all of our schools. Security experts across the country believe, as do we, that the use of these additional procedures will enhance student and staff safety.

2018-2019 Calendar is now Available!

On Monday, Feb. 19, the Board of Education approved the calendar for the 2018-2019 calendar.

Important: Last Day of School is now June 13 Due to Snow Day

The last day of the 2017-2018 school year will now be Wednesday, June 13 due to the inclement weather day on Friday, Feb. 9.
