Starbuck Middle School (an IB World School)
An IB Middle Years school that inspires students to think critically and globally.
Starbuck Middle School is a Middle Years Programme International Baccalaureate school that features a challenging framework to encourage students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. Students completing the MYP are well-prepared to undertake the IB Diploma Programme or Career-related Programme, offered at Case High School.
RUSD has relocated the Middle Years International Baccalaureate Programme to the larger Starbuck campus, which expands enrollment capacity to create opportunities for more families who choose to be a part of this advanced-level academic programming.
Starbuck curriculum is designed to develop active learners and internationally minded young people through rigorous curriculum and project-based learning.
The Programme empowers students to inquire into a wide range of issues and ideas of significance locally, nationally and globally. The result is young people who are creative, critical and reflective thinkers.
The IB curriculum encourages independent thinking while developing skills in working with others. Students are required to take a second language.
Starbuck will offer intramurals including: boys and girls basketball, volleyball, track and cross country as well as extra-curriculars including the Engineering Club.
