School Board Election Information

Board of Education seats in Election Districts 2, 3 and 7 are up for election in April 2020. 

Candidates must file as a candidate for an identified Election District and must reside in the Election District from which they are elected. 

To determine which RUSD Election District you live in, follow these steps:

You may also pick up a packet of this information from the Office of the Deputy Clerk for School Board Elections between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

ELECTION DATES & DEADLINES

  • Dec. 1, 2019          First Day that Nomination Papers May be Circulated for Signatures. Not less than 100, nor more than 200 are required.
  • Jan. 7, 2020          Deadline for Filing Declaration of Candidacy, Campaign Registration Statement, and Nomination Papers must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m.
  • Feb. 18, 2020        Spring Primary Election (if necessary)
  • April 7, 2020          Spring Election

Please note: The Office of the Deputy Clerk for School Board Elections, along with all District offices, will be closed from Dec. 23, 2019 through Jan. 3, 2020 and will reopen on Jan. 6, 2020.
