The US Department of Agriculture announced that schools can resume the summer food service program through the month of December, meaning RUSD can provide meals to anyone 18 years and under, regardless of enrollment status.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, RUSD will serve free breakfast, lunch and a snack to any child 18 years or younger. Families no longer need to scan their student ID card when they come to pick up meals. In order to provide these meals, we do need to adjust our meal service schedule.
Due to the Labor Day holiday (Monday, Sept. 7) meal distribution will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 8 and Thursday, Sept. 10 next week.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 14, meal service will take place Mondays and Thursdays going forward. Students will receive 3 days of meals on Mondays and 4 days of meals on Thursdays.
