Become a Mentor

Mentor and mentee posing together

Thank you for considering becoming a mentor with Mentor RUSD. We appreciate your interest in helping students to do better in school, stay out of trouble, plan for their future and build self-esteem. Once these preliminary forms are completed, we will arrange a personal interview and schedule mentor training (about 1.5 hours), and matching will occur soon thereafter. Following that, an initial meeting among the mentee, the mentor, the coordinator and perhaps parents will be arranged at the specific school. Then you will be ready to go!

Mentors are required to report on the match on a monthly basis.

The documents that you will need to complete are:

  1. Mentor/Mentor Recruitment
  2. WINGS application to volunteer
  3. Mentor agreement
  4. Mentor application
  5. What makes a good mentor,

Once completed you can attach the documents to an email and send the email to

Or, you can print, complete and mail these forms to:
