Learn about alternative learning programs that we have available.

Racine Alternative Education (RAE)

RAE provides credit recovery for high school juniors and seniors who are credit deficient through the Keith R. Mack Credit Recovery Program. RAE offers courses such as math, English, social studies and art through traditional face-to-face classes, GEDII and virtual options.

Special Education Options (SEO)

SEO serves both middle and high school special education students who have a medical diagnosis of mental illness that is presenting/manifesting yet are not currently in need of treatment via a medical facility. SEO is located at RAE.

Turning Point Academy (TPA)

TPA is a redirection program designed to meet the educational needs of “at-risk” students through therapeutic intervention services, behavior and academic prevention and intervention programs. 

INSPIRE

INSPIRE is a program for pregnant or parenting high school students. Students are individually referred for success in the program based on their individual needs, with a goal of providing full service/support for the whole student, from education to social services and community-based programs/resources. Watch PSA 

Transitional Education Program (TEP)

TEP provides educational services to high school students who are returning to the community from an out-of-county placement (treatment, state/local incarceration, foster program) and who are under current court supervision. 

Juvenile Detention Facility

The Juvenile Detention Facility program provides educational services to school-aged juvenile students who fall under the care/supervision of Racine County and who require secure detention. 

Racine County Jail (RCJ)

Housed at the RCJ, this program provides educational services to adults or juveniles who have been waived from the juvenile justice system into the adult justice system and are pre-trial, post-adjudicated or sentenced.
