Health Occupations Students of America
Any students who have an interest in the medical field are encouraged to join the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) club. HOSA members can build self-confidence, motivation and enthusiasm for health occupations through a variety of events the group offers. Students can strengthen their academic and technical skills by participating in HOSA's state conferences, where students compete against students from other schools in various health science events. Students who place 1st, 2nd or 3rd will be invited to participate and compete in the National Conference. Some students are also invited to attend a Fall Leadership Conference where they have the opportunity to attend various sessions on developing effective leadership qualities and skills.
Through various conferences, workshops and community events, students will have a better understanding of current healthcare issues. HOSA memberships allows students to set realistic career and educational goals and collaborate with health professionals and future employers.
