Check Out These Great Upcoming Fine Arts Events in RUSD!

The Racine Unified School District is known for its world-class fine arts programs. Whether you have a student in the District or not, we encourage you to experience some of these great upcoming events!

On Thursday, Feb. 19, bands from Park High School, Case High School, Horlick High School, REAL School, McKinley Middle School, Jerstad-Agerholm Middle School and Starbuck Middle School will perform at UW-Parkside in the Wisconsin School Music Association’s Large Group Contest. The choirs will judged by music professors from across the state.

The excitement continues on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Gilmore Middle School where combined strings and band students from Olympia Brown, Janes, Julian Thomas and North Park Elementary Schools will be performing their first concert. The show begins at 2 p.m.

The following weekend, Saturday, Feb. 28, the choirs from Case High School and Horlick High School will be competing in the Wisconsin School Music Association’s Large Group Contest for Choirs at Horlick High School.

On Tuesday, March 3, jazz bands and swing choirs from Case High School, Park High School, Horlick High School, REAL School, McKinley Middle School, Starbuck Middle School, Gilmore Middle School and Jerstad-Agerholm Middle School will be competing in the Wisconsin School Music Association’s Jazz Contest at Horlick High School.

On Saturday, March 14, Case High School will be hosting the Wisconsin School Music Association’s Solo Ensemble Contest for over 600 students from all of the Racine Unified School District’s secondary schools.

Don’t miss the all District Orchestra Festival Saturday, April 18 at Park High School. The annual festival will feature all of Racine Unified School District’s string students and instrumental music staff.

Finally, the all District Art Show will be held at the Wustum Museum starting on Sunday, May 3 and running until Friday, May 29. The art show will feature art works from every school in the Racine Unified School District.
