Daily Announcements Sept. 25-29

  • Swing choir rehearsal starts Tuesday at 7:20

  • The Student Acceptance team will meet Wednesday this week during homeroom. If you have any questions please see Ms. Ade.

  • Monday is the first day of After Zone! Attention After Zone students! Please meet in the cafeteria after school. You should have all of your belongings with you as we do not return to lockers. 

  • Due to Open House, After Zone will be cancelled Tuesday.

  • 6th graders, don’t forget to take your field trip permission slips home.

  • There will be no Cross-Country practice Tuesday due to Open House.

  • Swing choir rehearsals Wednesday & Thursday mornings. Bright and early. 7:20

  • Mrs. Grodey would like to do a shout out to her fantastic 8th grade homeroom for being so cooperative and on task during MAP testing! Yay homeroom 101!!!

  • Coach Mendez and Coach Murphy would like you to join us in cheering on our McKinley Cross Country team today as we race against Mitchell and Walden in our first Cross Country Meet of the year at Pritchard Park. Races start at 4:15. 6th graders run 1 mile. 7th graders and 8th grade girls run 1 and a half miles. And 8th grade boys run 2 miles. All Cross Country Team members meet in front of the school by the bike racks at 3:45 dressed for running and ready to board the bus.

  • Any 7th or 8th graders interested in learning more about our 7th International Travel Club trip should come to our next meeting, Monday, October 2nd at 5:30pm in Room 202.  We will be traveling to China this June where you walk on the Great Wall, see the Terracotta Warriors and so much more!! Hope to see you Monday night!!

  • Student Mentor/IB Ambassador Applications due no later than Friday to the front office.

  • Congratulations to McKinley’s Cross Country Team for your great effort at our first meet of the season! Special shout out’s to 8th graders Noah Ahnen and Gracie Poessel for their improved effort! Congrats also to 8th grader Yeraldi Sanchez for her growth as a distance runner!  Official race results to follow.

  • McKinley Staff & Students - Mrs. James will miss you all dearly.  Keep working hard & show the world how great you are.  To the 7th graders…. The Class of 2023 you will always hold a special place in Mrs. James heart.
