  • Shout out to the Swing Choir for performing last weekend for the Holiday Train Celebration. There was an abundance of positive feedback from the people in the audience and the event planners.

  • 6th and 7th grade students! “My School My Choice,” opened last week. It runs from Dec 1-Jan 15 please remember to have your parents choose which school you’re going to next year.

  • 8th Graders! If you are planning on attending Horlick next year there will be a freshmen orientation next Monday, December 11 from 5:30-7:30. For more info pick up a flyer in the office.

  • Reminder to 7th and 8th graders that the forms and money for the cave trip are due on Friday.

  •  8th grade students, Park High School will be here during lunch Tuesday. The football coach and representatives from the JROTC program will be here to talk to you in the lunchroom. They will have a table set up in the cafeteria, feel free to visit with them while you eat.

  • Attention Swing Choir students. No Swing Choir on Tuesday. We will resume rehearsing on Wednesday.

  • Wanted! The Jazz band is opening the doors to ANYONE who has experience playing an instrument especially drum set, and guitar!  If you are interested please talk to Mrs. Clark.  We know you are out there, musicians. Now is your chance to start playing again.  Everyone with experience is welcome.

  • Congratulations to the 8th grade Woodwind class for winning the food drive challenge.  All together with donations and actual food collected Mrs. Clark’s classes collected close to 2,000 pounds of food for the Racine Food Bank!  You guys rock!  

  • Attention all Instrumental Musicians (a.k.a. Mrs. Clark’s classes) your fundraiser items will be delivered WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 6.  This means you Must pick them up after school that day.

  • Attention Students: School is over at 3:35. You MUST be out of the building by 3:45. That gives you 10 minutes to get your things and leave. The only exceptions are if you are in Afterzone or if you have permission to stay with a teacher. Once you leave the building you cannot come back in. If any student allows anyone into the building after 3:45 he/she will have consequences.

  • Congratulations to the 8th grade boys volleyball team on their victory last night. They defeated Starbuck in a crushing 5 sets to 0. Also to the 8th grade girls winning in similar fashion 5-0 over Starbuck with great performances from all of the girls. The 7th grade girls also won 4-1 to complete a school sweep for volleyball.  Congrats to all student athletes. Tomorrow, Thursday, all volleyball teams play against Mitchell.  Good luck to all of you!

  • 8th grade girls volleyball, practice Wednesday will only go til 5pm!  Again, 5pm. Any questions please ask Mr. Moore.

  • Everyone is invited to the Winter concert put on by the Bands and Orchestras from McKinley.  The concert will be December 14 and will feature a 7th grade clarinet soloist Brady Dahlen!  The concert will be on December 14 at 7:00 in the auditorium on the Starbuck campus.  Any questions ask Mrs. Clark.

  • Students, we are having issues with lockers lately. Make sure you close your locker, then put the lock on it. Close the lock and spin the dial. If your locker comes open with the lock on it, you need to write down your locker number, what the problem is, and give it to your teacher so we can have it fixed. If you give your locker combination out, we cannot help you keep your stuff secure. Be wise, be safe.

  • 6th grade choir will meet in the gym on Monday during homeroom to rehearse their music.
