Interested in Gilmore Fine Arts for Grades K-8? Check out an Orientation Coming Soon!


Beginning fall 2018, the current Bull Fine Arts Elementary School will transition and expand to become a kindergarten-8th grade fine arts school called Gilmore Fine Arts as part of RUSD’s My School. My Choice. initiative. Gilmore Fine Arts will offer a world-class fine arts program with specialized instruction in art, instrumental music, choral music, drama and dance.

Families interested in applying to Gilmore Fine Arts for grades K-8 must complete the online School Choice application between Dec. 1, 2017 and Jan. 15, 2018. The School Choice window will close on Jan. 15, 2018. All applications will be placed into a lottery and student selection will be completely random. Your application is not final until the window closes.

Gilmore Fine Arts will hold several opportunities for families who would like to learn more about the school and its programming, including two Choice Fairs (see below for more information) and two orientations held at the current Fine Arts Elementary School.

Gilmore Fine Arts Orientations

  • Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 from 2-3 p.m. at Bull Fine Arts Elementary School, 815 DeKoven Ave.
  • Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 from 6-7 p.m. at Bull Fine Arts Elementary School, 815 DeKoven Ave.

My School. My Choice. Choice Fairs

RUSD is hosting Choice Fairs for families interested in learning more about RUSD’s middle school options, including Gilmore Fine Arts, Starbuck Middle School (an IB World School), Walden III, The R.E.A.L. School, Gifford, Mitchell K-8 and Jerstad-Agerholm K-8. The Choice Fairs will be held on the following dates, times and locations. Families are encouraged to stop in at any time during the window to learn more these schools.

  • Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gilmore Middle School, 2330 Northwestern Ave.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Starbuck Middle School, 1516 Ohio St.
